Kelim Pars Rugs
Tribal Flatweave from the Heart of Fars Province
The Story
Kelim Pars refers to flatwoven kilims produced in the Fars province of southern Iran—the homeland of the Qashqai, Khamseh, and related tribal confederacies. These are genuine tribal flatweaves, woven on horizontal ground looms by nomadic and semi-nomadic weavers using the same bold geometric vocabulary that characterizes the pile rugs of the region.
The designs are direct and confident: bold diamond fields, stylized animal and bird figures, clan emblems and botanical motifs—all rendered in the strong, saturated palette of the south (deep reds, indigo, ivory, warm gold). Being flatwoven, Kelim Pars pieces are reversible and lightweight, making them ideal for layering, wall display, or high-traffic floors.
A Kelim Pars is an authentic tribal flatweave with strong tribal character—art and utility in equal measure.
