Lori rugs are woven by the Lur people of Lorestan Province in the Zagros Mountains of western Iran — a semi-nomadic tribe with over three thousand years of weaving heritage. Diamond medallions, hexagonal motifs, and stylised animals appear in deep indigos, warm reds, and earthy browns — colours that reflect the rugged mountain terrain.
