Nanadj Rugs

Nanaj rugs come from a Kurdish village in the Hamadan region and are woven using the single-weft "Sennah Baft", a weave technique characteristic of the entire Hamadan district. Known in the antique rug market since the early 20th century, these village rugs blend bold Kurdish symmetry with Hamadan practicality.

Expect all-over geometric designs featuring stylised rosettes, star-like forms, and angular floral motifs, each piece made from pure wool hand-spun from the weaver's own sheep. The meticulous weaving and high wool quality create rugs of remarkable resilience and honest craft character.
